Hard Reset with JB question

My phone has been updated and I would like to complete a reset but the old procedure doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there a new procedure with Jelly Bean?

Can you tell us what you mean by a hard reset? These instructions can get you to the bootloader and then the screen where you can wipe the cache, so I think it's what you want.

At Step 5, the key thing to note is that the triage menu will appear after releasing both Vol Up and Vol Down buttons.

I was referring to a factory reset, and your link answered my question.

Factory data reset can also be accessed in the Settings menu, under Privacy. Should be the same result as doing it from the bootloader menu.

Which does make you wonder why the cache clear isn't just as easily accessible.
