Hard to send pictures via text with my Note 5 ???

When sending a picture with my Note 5 via text the picture will take forever to send,,,, I also keep getting the error message thing ?
Most of the time I'm sending from home with my WiFi on and everything connected fine,,, never had this issue with any of my iPhones,,, weird.
Would love to know the fix ?

If I recall correctly .. You go to settings > mobile networks > APN settings (I don't have a Note 5 .. just trying to remember from previous Note devices).

Just checked, can't find APN in Mobile Networks or anywhere on my Note 5,, I don't recall having this issue with any of my other Notes 1, 2, 3, and 4.

It's settings>mobile networks>Access Points Names. If you are using an international on an us carrier or Verizon on att or t-mobile, etc, you will have to set up your carriers VPN which a store will do for you.

Yes, T-Mobile Note 5 purchased from T-Mobile and T-Mobile is my carrier, have not tried Hangouts, I'm just wanting to use the stock Note 5 text app to text and send pictures, just sending one picture taken with my Note 5 or a downloaded picture is sending really really slow, took about 5 to 10 minutes for a friend to receive one photo I sent her.

Try using another texting app and send 1 or 2. This will help is confirm if it's the app or the service.

Had the same problem with stock app. Switched to textra and the problem went away.

Just the sender. It is a texting app just for your phone. I personally use Google messenger as I like the look better but there are plenty of other texting/sms apps available on the play store.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure if maybe it was like WhatsApp, where both parties needed to have the app. Thanks.

Do you have Wifi Calling on?, If so, turn it off and try again.

Yep, WiFi and cellular calling both on, I'll test out turning off WiFi to text a picture but if that's the only fix I'm going to be less than happy, having to turn WiFi on and off every time I want to text a photo would suck. I never had this issue with any of my past Notes or iPhones,, very odd.

Not specifically a device only issue, it's a combination of the device and T-Mobile, hence the reason Textra has an specific setting for Wifi calling on T-Mobile. If by doing that it works, give T-Mobile support a call and let them know, in fact you should call them regardless it works or not.

There's a bug with the stock messenger app when you first use it. Did you try to clear the app data? If that doesn't work you may need to clear the cache partition. This resolve that problem on my wife's note 5
