Hardware v0003 & 0004 difference

I had the evo 4g 0003 but traded it in for a EVO 3D. Few months later, my wife got the Evo 4g for free at BB. She has the white one with hardware v 0004. What is pissing me off is her wifi Works great. Full bar in our bedroom when I used to get 1. I had all the updates on my EVO 4g and hers out of the box has better wifi. Now my evo 3d has awsome wifi. But still when I had my EVO 4g I could not go very far. I was told it was a firmware issue and an update would come. Others complained about crappy wifi on the forums too. I may have kept the 4g if the wifi was not so bad on it. 4g service is not available at my home, but is two blocks away.

Well, all I can say is that I have 0004 and my wifi is fine.

yep yep. That confirms it. Anyone with the 0003 or 0002 still having wifi issues?

I've got v0002 and my wifi seems to be fine (so far).

Got 0003 and I been able to walk outside roughly 20 ft from my router and keep a connection. I haven't compared it to others to see how their phone is, but I haven't had any issues.

I don't have issues connecting to WiFi but my WiFi speed sux. The most I get is 5mbps on speed tests, even standing beside the router. My wifes epic gets 12-13mbps on speed tests which is more accurate since we have 15mbps cable internet service. I don't know if its the EVOs in general or just mine but seems odd to me.

I have v002 and my wifi is so so , I.e. could be better.

0004 hardware was to do with the camera, not the wifi antenna.

I have v0003 and have always noticed that the wifi antenna was a bit weak. There are times I still use my old Pre for wifi connectivity (for Pandora, etc) because the antenna picks up the connection a lot better.

my wife's 0004 can go outside and still connect to my wifi. Well over 100ft. She is able to see networks that my 0003 could not. Either my wifi was bad or something was done.
