Has anyone exchanged their 5X with Nexus Protect?

I have had my 5X for about 10 days now and love it but yesterday I got to compare it with a coworkers who just got theirs. I noticed by comparison their 5X had much a much more solid power button and the screen was much cooler and less yellow. I think I am going to exchange it but wonder if anyone has any experience doing this with Nexus Protect? Are they just able to transfer it or did they just make you buy it again and then cancel the original?

It might be worth trying to exchange under Google standard warranty if it seems like a hardware issue / "failure". I'd get in touch with Google to see what they say.

I agree - you should not have to use up one of your two avaliable exchanges under Protect for this obvious hardware problem. And if Google is not cooperative, since you have had it for less than 14 days, you could always return it and order new one.

Sorry I didn't mean to use one of the two exchanges. I meant has anyone done this as an RMA and if so did they tell you to buy Protect again or were they able to transfer it?

I was just comparing my 5X with my N4 and also noticed that the Nexus 4 has a much cooler and "whiter" screen calibration than the yellowish 5X screen. Are others experiencing this and is this some sort of defect? Just curious is there a way to calibrate the screen and reduce some of the yellow tint.
