Has anyone found a way to illuminate the capacitive buttons?

Unfortunately, they are only silkscreened on, so you won't find a backlight for them.

You could try an app like Simple Control or Handy Soft Keys.

EDIT: Just tried Handy Soft Keys--works well!

Lit buttons would be a plus.
I was a little worried about the non-illuminated buttons at first.
Just a matter of getting used to them it seems like I've trained myself to hit them with ease.

Just for comparison for some reason now when using my Xperia I need to look at the screen to hit the lit buttons.
Buttons on some of the different phones need a swipe or a tap to cause them to show up at times in app.
Liking how the Asus hardware buttons are always there off screen.
