Has anyone had difficulty with the 16 GB of storage?

I have noticed that the operating system on the Galaxy S5 uses more RAM than my Galaxy 3S.

Has this created issues for anyone? Is there any benefit to waiting for the 32 GB?

I keep everything that I can on the SD card as I am sure that is pretty common now.

Thanks for your thoughts!

I think you mean storage space?

Re: Has anyone had difficulty with the 16 GB of RAM?

I think the OP is confused...

1. The Galaxy S5 has 2GB of RAM.

2. It also has 16GB of STORAGE SPACE on it's internal flash drive, with an expansion slot for SDcards up to 128GB of extra space. (However, most people report that the S5 only has about 10GB of available storage space out of the box.)

Two different types of memory. RAM is used for RUNNING apps and the system itself. Storage space is used to STORE the apps, pictures, movies, music, etc...

Hope that clears things up.

I have noticed that my S5 has 1.81GB of RAM total and most of the time, with no apps running, I am using up to 1.65GB of RAM. IMO this is an issue. I do not understand why we have a 2.5Ghz quad core CPU and only 2GB of RAM.

Ram is made to be filled. If you're ram is not always close to full then your phone will be less efficient than it could be. Once you start opening other apps it'll just replace whatever is currently in the ram that you haven't used in a while.

It's only an issue if your phone is lagging or performing horridly.
