I am guessing that any former Note 7 owners who traded-in their iPhone 5 should know by now whether or not they did not get the full $425 credit... that is, a charge back on your credit card for a certain amount. I haven't heard anything here so did Samsung do us all a solid and give us full value credit?

I didn't get any chargebacks so I am guessing my $425 credit stays. Very pleased if this is the case.

Nothing has changed on the status of my phones in the month since they've received them, so, I'm hoping all is golden. I would be curious to see if others have had a change in status.

Everyone has NOT received the credit, it takes 2 months to verify a trade in from the "received" state in samsung website

If you trade in is rejected you'll see a nice $425 charge as Christmas gift from samsung in December

Actually, everyone has received the credit already and it's for Samsung to take part of it back.

More than one sales rep told me if the trade in turned on ok they would take it. They even said they would take my Note 3.. Tried to do it but Bank of America cc kept blocking my purchase. They expect a purchase within 2 days of a hold. Every time a phone became available after a week or two of hold Bof A would block funds so I'll never know if the Note 3 would have worked.

I traded in an S6 for the $425 discount. It was fully functional and without a crack in the screen, but the screen seemed to be separating in the upper right hand corner. So far I have not received an additional charge for the less than perfect trade.
