Has Froyo Update made your Inc Slower?

The 2.2 Froyo Update has made my Inc noticeably slower than 2.1. All the apps I closed in 2.1 with advanced task killer remained closed, but in 2.2, advanced task killer will momentarily close apps, howeverthey will show up again within minutes of closing them. Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

Even the power on sequence is slower, but only by like 10-15 seconds.

How exactly does killing apps measure system speed or lag?
I am lost.

+1.

If you are using ATK to "speed up" your system, you are barking up the wrong tree (this ain't no Storm). More importantly, it hasn't been confirmed or even discussed that ATK is at all useful for preserving battery life under 2.2.

Unless you have a particular issue that suggests you should be using ATK on 2.2 (like a rogue program or widget that you know is draining the battery), I would uninstall it and wait for the community to get more data. At this point, you run the risk of doing more harm than good.

A number of apps open at the same time, would result in lag no? I'm just saying. There is noticable lag even when scrolling through the apps list in sense. The lag really isn't horrible or anything, just a noticable difference from 2.1 that is annoying me right now.

No. Perhaps if you go from a place with no signal to one with signal, you might have a number of apps hit the network at once, which could cause lag. But just having programs open in the background should not give you noticeable lag.

Now, constant kill-respawn activity might. Seriously, try uninstalling ATK (followed by reboot). You can always put it back if you find you need it.

And note, I'm one who uses ATK on 2.1 (for battery issues), not one of these "nobody should use a task killer" folks.

uninstall atk, android does that automatically. when i first got my inc i had it and it made my phone super laggy after i got rid of it 10x better.. and that was on 2.1

Many task killers (including ATK) don't work with Froyo, as the api used to kill apps has been removed. There are some that can still do it, but they are root only apps.

I have noticed my phone isn't running as smooth, my phone has been freezing momentarily from time to time.
