Hello everyone!

I recently switched to Google Fi on my 5x and can't say I'm very impressed with the google wifi switching feature. I live in a major US city and I think I've seen the little key symbol once in the last two weeks. My service has otherwise been pretty good with Google Fi so no complaints there. Anyone else finding the wifi swtiching Google promotes to be kind of gimicky? Maybe there just aren't many open networks in my city.

I agree, I've been on Fi since last July & only noticed the key about 5 times. I live in NJ, but I'm in NYC a few times a week. Someone posted a link to a map with the confirmed Wi-Fi locations in here before. Unfortunately, I don't have it on hand right now.

To be clear, the above link is a map of hotspots found by Fi users, it is not a complete list. If you find a spot you get a key and want to add it to that map, you can use this link.

I have been on Fi since November in western Pennsylvania and I have only seen the key a few times.

I live in the Detroit area and have seen the key about 10 times in 3 months
