Have I Bricked My DInc?

I'm not quite sure what has happened.....I'm hoping maybe somebody can help me out here. I was running an overclocking Hydra Kernel on my DInc. But lately, the phone has been running very unstable, and I suspected it was the kernel, so I wanted to revert to the stock version. Rather than unroot (which I'm sure now that I should've done), I tried to restore the original kernel which I backed up using ROM Manager.

This seemed to work without issue in the ClockworkMod Recovery. It told me that recovery was successful. However, when I rebooted, I came across the original "HTC Incredible" logo twice, and the phone automatically went back into recovery. I tried rebooting again, and once again, I found myself at the recovery. I tried a factory wipe of my phone, and it still was unsuccessful. I am completely unable to normally boot my phone. Am I just completely out of luck here?

EDIT: I believe I've been able to reinstall the stock kernel using one I found at Hydra. But my phone continues to boot only into recovery mode. I'm at a loss as to what to do here.

when a kernel is running unstable (or stuck in a boot loop) all you have to do is restore using a nandroid backup from before the kernel was installed. this reverts the phone back to the original kernel

I was getting an error that the "md5 not equal" or something to that effect. At any rate, I solved it by manually downloading a stock 2.1 ROM. Thanks all.

Sounds like you have a bad backup. I would suggest reflashing which ever rom you like. OR get a new ROM that is a stock ROM and flash it. You haven't bricked your phone or you wouldn't get that far.
