Nope, I have the S9+ and Note 9. I usually get the new phones each year, but the non symmetric display impeding hole means I keep the 9s and hope these sell poorly enough to remove the hole with the "11". Yeah, that's selfish, but I really dislike the hole. Seems a stupid bubble decision by Samsung.

I did reservation for pre orders for me and my husband. I have a 9 plus and he has a Note 8. Can't believe their giving 550 for the Note 8 also. I remember when the Note 9 came out my 9 plus was worth 600 but I had a Note 8 am not into the Note series which is why I got the 9 plus and I sold my Note 8 for 400 bucks. I'm excited and can't wait for the 10 plus. But after going to the slick deals link you posted I had to stop reading it was too long of posts and several people are posting horror stories of trade ins with Samsung. We traded in S7 Edges and got the full $300 so I hope we get $550 and they don't try to screw us cause our phones are in excellent conditions. Not sure I care about the cases though I'll buy one that I like right before the phone comes out or shortly after.

Samsung offering me $550 for my iPhone X. Already have the Xs Max. It's a no brainer to make a quick buck. Pay another $500 and get the S10, and then turn around and resell it for $1000, and make another $450. In essence, get $1000 for a iPhone X.

I don't think I'll be buying this years phone. I usually buy each years Note and S phones but I think it's the year that I'll pass. Not thrilled with the hole punch and I have a perfectly good Note 9 and unlocked S9+. I just had T-Mobile unlock my Note 9.

I'm using a 512 GB XS Max as my main phone this year.

Nope! My Note 8 is running like new and with a new factory battery installed by Ubreakit recently, I could see this phone running into its third year. I will wait for Verizon then to make me an offer I could not refuse and buy a Note 10 or S11. Who knows? At least I don't have any itch to move... anywhere... to another phone.

The difference is on the iPhone, content when opening an app is designed to display below the notch. When you scroll of course, the content will go behind the notch. The hole punch in the Samsung phones will just obscure the content because of where it is.

The notification bar occupies the area where the hole is. Content is below the hole and not obscured.

I might consider getting the S10 plus later on. I'm kinda ready for a smaller phone. The Note line is great but not using the S-pen as much anymore. Even the S10 will be a smaller phone, which will be a welcome change for me.

Honestly, I haven't even looked at anything showing what the S10 looks like. I'm planning on skipping Android this year since I bought two XS Max in October.

No. Not interested. I have an iDevice and an Apple Watch Series 4 I'm using and the S10s won't run as well as this phone. I'll consider the Note 10 but I'm over the Galaxy S-line of Samsung devices.

every year for the past 6 years I bought a new phone. this year I'm saying no. and staying pat. this is why to get what I want will run me over a grand. I think that I rather keep that money in my pocket. perhaps a new PC or even a trip tyhe priceshave gone too high to justify a every year buy.so not this time. Plus the game they play with the S10 5G This carrer first stuff. which is the way i would have gone but nah what I have works fine. i rather see the money in my pocket this year
