having a problem with the speaker on mytouch 4g

Just got the mytouch 4g , loving it, except for the problem with the ringtone/speaker volume,. Checked the settings and everything is set as loud as it will go. When it rings u can barely hear it or if u switch to speakerphone u can barely hear it. My husband has the same phone and his is fine. Please help, me.

You might just have a defective MyTouch unfortunately if you're 100% sure that you checked every sound option.

It may sound strange but it has helped myself and alot of people with alot of issues:

Shut down and remove and replace the battery.

This has become my first method of fixing things
