Having issues with rooting

So, I keep getting the "cannot load unlock bin code" error message when I try to unlock the bootloader. I am using a Mac. Should I try on a PC? I'm stumped. The file is in the correct folder.

There is an option in HTC dev to use a mac.

ok so after multiple times trying with my Macbook, I moved to a Windows laptop and it worked..now I see why people prefer doing it on Windows..it seemed easier to me.

Hey how did you do it? I'm stuck in fastboot because my win8 doesn't recognize adb drivers. I keep getting android 1.0 driver can't be installed error

Nope because my pc doesn't recognize my HTC one in in fastboot mode and it keeps giving me error android 1.0 driver

I know it's frustrating, but I wouldn't give up on it. It's always one step you probably over looked that will frustrate the hell out of you. This phone was easy to me because I came from evo3d that had me about to break it more than once. Just re read the steps. I'm sure it's one minor thing missing.
