Let me preface this by saying ive never really liked any of these keyboards and I dont think ill ever get used to typing on a touch screen.

That said, the past couple of months on SK have been horrible.
I cannot seem to write a single sentence without going back and correcting something.

Its locking up in the middle of my typing, it constantly chooses the wrong words, the slightest touch of the screen initiates sk flow which screws up the word and generally, I feel like its just getting dumber.

Im using a HTC M8.

Maybe its time to erase my library and rebuild from scratch?

I don't have a direct answer for you, but you might want to try Fleksy Keyboard if you haven't already. It's tap only (no swiping), and the auto-correct is uncannily good.

Can turn off flow:
Settings > input methods > flow

Can see where you are hitting the keys:
Settings > usage stats > heat map

I saw a while ago I tend to hit the bottoms of keys (according to the heat map) , which I am trying to correct.

Intentionally slowing down often helps, especially when tired.

I always use portrait while typing too, which means the keys are always the same width.

Cheers.

I find wiping the cache of the app and the data, then uninstalling and reinstalling fixes the issue.
I think its the free themes they give you.
I want to disable the emoji option on the enter key. But yes in the few years I have used the app it has started to become slower for me. I still prefer it though to others I have tried.
