Having trouble moving pics and vids from phone to pc.

Bionic.........When I plug the usb in, the pc reckonizes the phone. When I open it up, there is no file for the camera.......also......all the pics and vids are stored in the internal memory and I can't move them to the sd card, because it says there is no sd card installed.....I've mounted it to no avail......any suggestions ?

I'm not sure how educated you are with this so forgive me if I'm telling you rhetorical information.

Your pictures, along with music, will be in the DCIM folder on the SD card.
When you plug your phone into the computer, do you have it on USB Mass Storage Mode?
Assuming you have the SD card that came pre-installed, I would try a different SD card just in case the case is messed up. If that doesn't work, perhaps a factory reset might help? It would make you lose all your pictures and videos that were saved in your internal memory but somehow you have to get your phone working correctly.

I'm not exactly an expert so maybe someone else can chime in that knows more than me and a better solution.

hang on, hang on... don't do a factory reset yet. First, go into settings in the camera app and ensure that all pix and videos are saved to sd-ext, your external SD card.

Then, once you have it connected to your computer, enable USB mass storage mode and you should see 2 drives mount - one for internal sd and one for external. From there you can move all the pix and vids from internal to external. Make sure, like the above poster said, that they are in the DCIM folder on the external. You can create it if it's not there.

That should solve it.
