I have been flashing tons for a while now but don't know anything about h boot. I want to change it to .92 for the new 3.0 ROMS. Can someone tell me what I need to do.

Here you go, thanks to Doug Piston Inc. Hboots | doug piston. Alternatively, you could download inc bits from the market. Download the .zip for .92, rename it to PB31IMG.zip, and flash in the bootloader.

Also know before you do this that all your nandroids will not work with the .92, so choose the rom you want carefully.

The origional will work with .92 - if you RUU back it will also downgrade the HBOOT

So the default version isn't .92? I have never messed with the hboot or the radios before - my hboot was .92 after I rooted, so I assumed it had been before, too.

The post Froyo OTA Unrevoked put HBOOT .92 on during the root process. Earlier unrevoked's put on earlier versions. The OEM is something like .6 My wife has her phone at work with her but I'll check tonight.

so i flashed the .92 in teh bootloader and it worked fine, but now i cant get my wifi to work. it just says error in the wireless settings

anyone have a fix for this?

HBOOT has nothing at all to do with WiFi. It's purely a bootloader. Try clearing cache and dalvik in recovery and rebooting.
