hboot - can't get there from here :P

Since the GB download the other day, I have been considering rooting and taking advantage of all of the features of this phone. So I was going to start with the Revolutionary thread.

I went to the rooting with Revolutionary thread. Downloaded the required apps to my phone. Went to boot into hboot mode, which I had done before the GB update, but it doesn't work. I hold down the volume down button then power up and my phone boots up, no hboot menu. Can't boot into it at all.

Phone works fine though. No problems there.

I am using fastboot, but can't get into hboot to change any of it.

Any advice is appreciated. I guess i am ready to jump into the rooted world since the GB update.
Sorry if this question has been asked already, I searched and the answers I saw where when people had already rooted, or were able to get into hboot but not past it.

Nevermind - got there with a battery pull. Sorry for the redundant post.

For future reference when you have fast boot checked, your phone doesn't turn all the way off. UN check, then power down, then you can boot into h boot
