HD Maxx powers down when plugged in!

I have a Wilson Sleek 4G booster in my truck. It helps keep a strong 4G signal when traveling. Anyway, it isn't much more than a cradle. It does have a power cord that you can loops out of the cradle and into the phone. Several times now, when I plug this cord in, the phone powers down. This didn't happen on my Bionic phone. I can't imagine why this is but it seems to happen right at the point where the charge hits 100% and displays the message to disconnect the power.

Any ideas? I gotta have this working as I use the phone to stream Sirius radio.

I also use a car charger but mine never powers down when I plug it in.
