Monoprice should have them shortly for half that price. Other MHL cables don't have the same pin numbers. This newer cable has more pins and provides greater functionality than the old one.

I have the samsung official mhl adapter and it workx great. Its different than older versions because this one has an 11 pin arrangement.

I actually have a second one brand new in box unopened that i will be selling in eBay as soon as i create a description post.

I really like it for watching movies and netflix. The quality is very good.

I bought the 5to11pib Samsung adaptor for my old Samsung MHL adaptor. Just got it this weekend so will post how itcworks very soon.

I use the mhl hdmi adapter from monoprice along with the Samsung 5-pin to 11-pin micro usb adapter plug and it works fine on my SGIII. You also need to plug in the AC power charger into the side of the mhl adapter.
