Ok everyone I have a 3D evo with a tmobile mhl cable. When I plug the cable into my tv and I connect the power cord, my tv starts flashing a staticky screen and doesn't display my 3vo.

Here's some background:

My 2005 Phillips ambilight 1080 i HDTV didn't work with my evo 4g until I did netarchy's hdwin kernal which changed the fps to a higher rate and worked perfectly for my evo 4g.

The 3d evo doesn't show the screen at all on my tv. Is there a kernel or hack that makes my tv work?

Is there anything I can do? Can I change the refresh rate on 3vo? Can I lower the hd output to 720? 480?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mine seems to work only when it wants to. Last attempt I had the same problem, kept going on and off.

I haven't had any problems with mine, but I have the HTC MHL adapter that Sprint sells, not the T-Mobile one. Don't know if that would matter or not. I use it on a 2009 Samsung and a 2010 Coby. We hooked it to a friend's TV and had a problem with the sound but that ended up being due to how his surround sound was hooked up.

The link below may help.

Good luck :)

I have the same MHL TMO adapter.
MOST of the time i have no issues. On a few occassions i have run into this issue.
What i have done to fix it is, in this order.

Make sure my TV is on the HDMI input for the selected cable to EVO 3D.

Plug in the HDMI cable to the adapter,
Plug in the power cable to the MHL adapater. Make sure its the wall adapter and not USB from a computer.
Then lastly, i plug in the MHL Adapter to my EVO 3D.

80% of the time it works. 20% of the time it flashes on, and off, and on, and off, untill i unplug it.

I tried your way. Doesn't work. I even rebooted my phone and connected different things.

Anyone help me please?

I am so sorry, I wish I could help. :( Hopefully someone who has had the same problem can pm you or something and maybe talk you through it. If I run across anything else that could possibly be useful I will post.
