Hello, just received my OnePlus 5T yesterday. Set it up, did updates, etc. It seems like the headphone jack is not working. When I plug in headphones (I tried 3 different ones, including the Bose QC 25) the sound seems very faint and crackly. In order to get the sound to work good, I have to spin the headphone connector and then it'll work, but it's hard to find the exact position at which the sound works. I think it may be a hardware issue because when I'm spinning the connector I can hear the crackling. This happens with Google play music, Pandora, and when using the headphones for a phone call. Anyone else experiencing something similar?

Give it a blow to clear it out, have a look in the port with a torch to ensure there's nothing in there, make sure you push really hard on the plug to ensure a good connection (as said above, if you have a case take it off).

If none of that works send it back. Hopefully they don't provide you too much trouble with the RMA process.

I have the case that comes with the phone. I tried it without the case and same thing. I did plug in the headphones firmly, I don't want to push too hard. I received the phone Monday and today (Wednesday) is my second day using it, so I don't think there should be any debris/trash in there but I will check it out. Maybe I just got a defective device.

I had a brand new phone once with same problem. Not kidding, in the headphone jack at the bottom was a piece of lint sizeable enough to keep the jack from going all the way in causing the same problems you describe. I got it out with pointy tool and in went the headphone plug with a nice click amd everything was good. I got it out at my own risk as you would too.
