My phone (SM-G920I) updated itself some time ago (weeks? months? I've lost track of time. Recently, tho), and since that time, it has refused to allow me to use an external mic. The mic built into my headphones works just fine in other devices, and I've checked the jack for damage or lint buildup, but it all seems fine. There's been no loss in audio quality, and the phone's built-in mic still works just fine.
What's the issue here? I've googled around multiple times these last few weeks, and have trawled through every option I can find. The only thing that has changed is the update.
