Headphone Sound Quality

I just bought this awesome headphones that work great with my computer but when i connect them to my evo their sound quality is reduced. why? Maybe an equalizer or something could fix this?

Do you mean the volume, or sound quality? I have the Monster Turbine "in-ear speakers" and they sound great on Evo. Granted, not as good as they sound on an iPhone, but still sound very very good. Same as they sound on my computer, I think.

i have the audio-technica m50s they sound great when i plug them to my computer but when i plug them to my phone they jsut have a reduced sound and bass, a significant reduction

i downloaded mixzing and messed with the equalizer and then it sounded great just like my computer, unfortunately it only changes the equalizer for mp3 songs, is there one for aac aswell?

I personally find the SQ from the evo to be petty disappointing. I've used various headphones (Sennheiser, Grado, Shure (iem)) and none of them sound very good. I briefly tried mixzing's EQ and it didn't do much for me either, but that's probably because I've been using Cowon players for the past few years and I've become pretty spoiled (the sound on those things is really amazing).

(As an aside, this is actually one area that tempted me to jump ship for a galaxy s phone, as I've heard that their SQ is pretty amazing (Wolfson dac combined with decent Samsung sound processing), but, sadly, the epic 4g for whatever reason doesn't come with Samsung's improved music player/sound enhancements for the time being.)

I dunno, its not the best and its a bit lower than my Zune 80 quality...but these "jack of all trades" devices simply won't match devices that focus on one thing.

I actually think it has better quality than the iPod Touch to be honest. If you don't mind the pocket space...build yourself an altoid amplifier

Those headphones are relatively low sensitivity and are a pretty tough 38 ohm load. Excellent sounding cans but not an ideal match for any portable device including the evo.

If you're interested in going that route, check out biosciencegeek's cmoy amps on ebay, supposed to be pretty good (and much easier than building one...)
