As the 6P doesn't come with a headset I'm looking to buy one. For gaming at home and to wear while riding my bike,so ear bud or canal only.

Which is the best choicw? Either wired or Bluetooth is ok.

I see Sony has a nice one with the Z5 premium with noise cancelling but that feature only works with the Z5.

What other options should I consider?

Budget is up to a couple hundred dollars.

Thanks!

Steve.

Whatever you used and liked with your previous device will suffice.

Thanks but previous device used 2.5 mm jack, so I'm in the market for new, standard 3.5mm phones.

I've read about many headsets not fitting the jack on the 6p properly and many headsets that have an in line remote for volume, answer calls etc, failing to operate on the 6p.

I wish Huawei /Google sold some optionally, but they don't.

I use a Motorola S11 Flex HD for music and a Plantronics Voyager Legend for calls (though the Motorola works for calls also if I already have it on).

I would recommend the XiaoMi Pistons 3 but it looks like I'm too late :/ they're great earphones

The X2 is $180!! My god that's insane amount of money for a headset.

It used to be $165. :)

But, it's Bluetooth, has great battery life, great standby battery, great sound quality, great for cycling/treadmill/running/workouts/etc (because it is wireless AND sweat-proof), and the company has great customer service.

I have them. If you work out out on a regular basis or jog you will never be able to go back to a wired solution. I pair these with my Sony 3 Smartwatch and I can jog with just the X2 and leave my phone at home and not have to worry about if it rains or sweat. I even left them in my pockets and washed them in the washing machine and they still work perfectly. No regrets with the purchase at all.

Can't speak to the customer service but the Motorola checks all those boxes (sound quality is IMO) at half the price. 5 hours of battery life and ~30 minutes to charge, sweat-proof, etc.

Thanks but they look bulky, I want to wear the wireless headset under motorbike helmet .

AH! A bicycle helmet might have been OK (I haven't tried as it's illegal in my state to wear headphones while cycling on the road), you just said "riding my bike" so I hadn't considered that...
