Headset issues??

I just tried using some earbuds and noticed that the plug doesn't fit all the way in and they are just intermittantly working. The headset notification on the screen goes on and off as well. I was using my earbuds that came with the old Pre ( i believe they have astandard 3.5 mm jack). Anyone out with similiar issues? I hate to return this wonderful phone. Got it on launch day with no other problems.

Yea, you didn't plug the headphones in all the way. Push harder girl man.

actually, it does. it surprised me too first time i tried it when it wouldn't go all the way in. but if you do push it in all the way couple of times, it will be fine after. you won't break it
