Heart Rate Measurements (Frequency) in the Health App

I am coming from the Apple Watch and I am used to more frequent heart rate measurements. At the end of the day I see some days under Trends where there are 3 or so entries for my heart rate and other days where I see more than 8. Does that mean that the Active 2 is only measuring my heart rate 3 times per day on some days and others measuring it 8 times? If so, how are these measurements determined? I have the watch set to its default which is to record measurements every 10 minutes but maybe when I am on my computer that is throwing it off?

Go into the heart rate section on your watch scroll down to settings you can set it for hourly or continuously throughout the day
