OK, I might be insane, but are any of you guys 'feeling' the heart rate monitor when it comes on?

It's supposed to check your pulse every whoknows minutes, right? Well, I could swear I sometimes feel a tiny vibration (not the kind you get with notifications, but a vibration, like a tingling) and so far I've been pretty accurate about it: When I feel it, I lift the watch and the heart rate monitor is blinking that green magic away.

Am I just nuts? Or has the Moto360 showered me with radiation and given me super powers? :D

every now and then I feel a vibe, but just assumed I was imagining it. will check the back next time and update.

Please do, at this point I'm starting to think I'm either crazy or clairvoyant.

The heart rate monitor just uses light. There is no reason for it vibrate and, in theory, you should not feel anything. However, I, too, could swear I felt an almost instant partial vibe a few times for no reason. I suspect that was my imagination, though. I mean, it might make sense for the programming to spin the vibrator a tad to let the user know to hold more still than normal (since the heart rate sensor doesn't work well with any motion). But I kinda doubt that is what they are doing. I suspect the watch just uses the accelerometer to try and pick a moment of certain orientation and stillness for the reading, but I have no idea since it is so poorly documented (actually, it is not documented at all, that I can find).

Yeah, I know, but it strobes. And sometimes that turning on and off might cause a vibration or the 'heat' alone might give you a sensation of vibration. Or maybe there's a switch in there, I don't know haha I just 'feel' something and usually when I look, the sensor is flashing away its green magic.

so.......u don't have super powers :(
I have caught my moto 360 red handed (green handed?) I felt a little vibe, not like a notification, but a nudge and I quickly checked the back and it was green. this has happened a few times. so the mystery of the phantom vibe has been solved! where's my Scooby snack???

Ah, sad :(

And not so fast Scooby!

We still don't know WHY you feel the vibration. haha. The watch, to the best of my knowledge, does not vibrate when turning the monitor on.

But it MIGHT be programmed to do that for the unattended readings.
