Does the flash work with Samsung Health for a heartrate monitor? I can't be only one that used this still on Note 9

I have some heart issues. The note5 monitor worked great, but the Note8 monitor had issues registering so I never used it. Not sure why they got rid of it. Maybe its because they want to sell wearables that will do that. I have a pulse oximeter that will show my heart rate. Not as convenient as the phone but it will do.

The 02 sensor as well. It works well as a baseline reference if you know what your 02 level is from a certified test or ongoing monitoring.

I thought about that too. I suppose they've left the Heart rate, O2, and stress levels up to the wearables. My S3 frontier is as accurate as my N8 (keeping) and N9 (trading) so I won't be too lost without it. For those who don't use a sport watch, this is indeed an issue.

I just saw that it was removed last night. I've had every Note since the N3, and I *think* it was first on the N4? N5? Anyhow, I've use the HR & O2 monitor as well for years. I have several cardiac & thyroid issues that require me to. They are all pretty accurate compared to my finger monitor, which I was happy not to have to carry around anymore.

Maybe this is a push to sell the watches, lol? I do have the Gear S2 Classic, but haven't worn it in a while. I'll probably be getting the Active 2 when it's released. But I really would love if it returns with the Note 11 tho!

A clear push to sell the watches. I was disappointed in the lack of sensor I used every day. my first generation galaxy watch works perfectly but lacks the monitor which I usually use on the note phones. I did check out the watches and they are great but we will see.

Various online articles have commented on the removal/lack of a heart rate monitor on the Note 10 phone. That's sad. I like using it on my S9. Even though I now have a Samsung Galaxy watch with a heart monitor, I still enjoy using it on my S9 phone, plus to pass the phone to a friend to get their heart rate reading too. It would be too much trouble to remove my Galaxy watch off my wrist to get a heart rate reading for a friend.

I have the heart monitor on my gear s3 but I do miss the stress test. I also dont like the newer wearables by Samsung. Too me they are a downgrade over the S3. I prefer keeping mst capable samsung pay.
