heart rate sensor

Is the sensor as good or better than apple watch.

My wife has the Series 4 and she doesn't seem to have any issues with the heart rate monitor. So I'd say it's better than the Galaxy Watch.

It gives me no pleasure to write this. :/

I have had zero issues with heart rate lately. I just had a couple blips early on that required a reboot but since then zero. Not really sure why people ask questions like this on a Samsung forum. Unless they get lucky and find someone like you that has a family member with one how would we know? If I go by reading the Apple is actually certified which does mean it may be better. It has more heart functions overall all.

I was having problems with the Galaxy Watch heart rate sensor while running. It would drop out for minutes and I was getting frustrated. So I flipped the watch over so the watch case was on the underside of my wrist and therefore the sensor was placed exactly where one's pulse is strongest to detect (remember the two fingers on the underside of the wrist to check for someone's pulse?) Lo and behold, perfect heart rate tracking when running. Most people probably won't need to do this, but I'm putting it out there if anyone has had a similar problem. Made me love my watch again. The cause for me is either my body or that I have a very nice but thick steel Milanese strap attached. Anyway, I'm relieved it's working great now.
