Heating Issue

Hi all. Just got the S21 Ultra and am having heating issues. Just browsing on chrome/Samsung internet and starts to heat up in the back on the opposite side of the camera. Also comes through the screen on the front. I have the exynos version.

Have you used an app to measure the actual battery temperature?

If you just got it, chances are there are a lot of processes going on in the background causing the phone to work harder than normal. Give it some time to settle before worrying.

No, not yet. What app do you recommend? It seems to be the chip though as it's always in the exact same spot

I thought so too but I don't recall this happening on my N20U.

It did get surprisingly hot during set up yesterday and during a gaming session today.

Mine is warm but it's still installing everything

Just finished installing everything and a backup from my old phone. It did get warm next to the camera but not anything out of the ordinary.

Report it via Samsung Members app, you can choose your category in the app and it will send an error report directly to Samsung.
