i am using cyanogen 9 ics on my galaxy is fb21 and when i try to switch to anthor rom it has no recovery when i go to recovery it says android system recovery what do i do !!!

You need to flash, via odin, a kernel with recovery built in. Also if you are trying to go back to gingerbread you should probably odin back to stock, flash a custom kernel, then flash whatever you wanted.

Please don't spam the boards like this. You really shouldn't be flashing CM9 if you don't know how to fix this. This has been bricking people's phones.

Then flash the odin package found here [KERNEL/RECOVERY][ICS] Rogue *Stock FB21* rev2 (Updated 2/28/12) - xda-developers
-Place phone in download mode
-Open Odin and make sure only auto reboot is selected in the option list
-Click PDA and select the Rogue tar, then select start

You should be able to flash whatever you want from here. Just make sure to do complete wipes.

Are you doing the EL29 one click or are you just flashing a kernel?

If you are doing the one click you don't select a tar just connect your phone and hit start.

Yes you can but it's recommended to Odin completely back to stock EL29 then start the process for whatever rom you want.

I would highly recommend that you go to YouTube and search for a video by QBking77 on how to root E4GT.

Okay. In order to get help, you have to tell us what you've now done that is resulting in bootloops. Did you follow the last link in dtm's thread here [ODIN][TAR] SPH-D710.EL29_CL852097 (EL29 Modem/Kernel/ROM - Full Restore - Rooted) - xda-developers and flash the Odin one-click? If you did, I suspect you chose the preserve data option. Since you were running CM9 at one point, it's likely you have ICS data not playing nice on a GB ROM, which would likely cause bootloops like you say you're experiencing.

At this point, I highly suggest you go back to stock rooted EL29 from the link above, and use the wipe data version. You should be up and running at that point with stock recovery. Then you can take a deep breath and decide where you may want to go from there.

If the assumptions I made above are incorrect, let us know what you did.

I think this situation is a bit more complex than that, but it's good advice and certainly worth a shot.
