Any one ever had a Helio? Does any body even remember? I loved the ocean. Even tho it didn't sell much Cus their plan was to advertise was via word of mouth. I remember that it was definitely an iPhone killer. It had sprint's 3g. Ultimate inbox which included AOL, gmail, ymail, MSN, and others. It went both ways...... Oh yeah. It had a regular keypad, but if u slid the fone down and turned it to the side, it had a full qwerty keyboard when u slid it up. Best keyboard ever.
U might remember it as the MySpace fone.
The browser sucked but there another online forum website where the community of people came together and Hung out and helped each other out. Messing around with the java scripts and even made an opera mini work unofficially for a while until it became official.
J missed those days. I used to love those days. And the people were awesome. U guys too. But when cell phone technology was starting to kick up.... Those were the days. And it was only maybe 2-3 years that it shut down. Or at least that I stopped going on the website, Cus it got bought out by virgin mobile. And got less and less supportive. Less devices.
I still have one of very few. Maybe the only one left. The only one made... Helio ocean. Silver color. Yep. It came in black but I got one that was silver In Color. I felt special, Cus not only was I one of a few hundred thousand people in the u.s. to have an ocean. But I was the only one in the world with a silver ocean. And I pimped that device like a boss.
I remember my first actual smart phone. And am still wondering what happened to my fellow helions? Maybe they got Android? Ios? Wm? Is there any one out there?
