So my sister, VZW sales associate, decided to pitch in with my wife to get me a $250 Verizon gift certificate for Christmas, in order to bring me into the smartphone age. Mid-February it was time for my upgrade, and not wanting to waste such a nice gift from my sister on a year-old phone, I decided to wait for whatever was coming next (assuming it was nice, of course).

: little did she know she'd be hearing from me almost every day about the elusive ThunderBolt. To her credit, she never fed me any lines, but always said she didn't know anything about any release date, and as far as she was concerned the interwebz knew more than VZW was going to tell her.
Tonight, all that changed when--like everyone else, it seems--she finally texted me these words: "Just got an official email. It's coming the 17th!" To celebrate, I decided to join the forum on which I've been lurking for some time now. Thanks for the entertaining reading and good info!
