Hey guys, long time blackberry owner here, currently thinking of switching over to a droid! I figure it wouldn't be fair if I didn't weight out my options, and it looks as though of the current gen smart phones, the droid's have the best hardware specs.

I'm sure I won't be disappointed with the app selection, or hardware, as my current bberry just doesn't cut it anymore, but I will surely miss BBM if I decide to make the switch,

Any tips for a newbie?

I'm looking at getting the Samsung Galaxy S2 when it comes out for Telus Mobility here in Canada, from what I've read it is rumored to be released in mid July or August, so hopefully that's true.

there are a variety of messaging applications that are available on android. bbm isnt unfortunately, but if your friends use gmail, gtalk works exactly the same as bbm. thats probably the one thing that BB converts end up missing the most though
