Hey! I'm Jaryn and i recently bought a Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1. I will be going on a long plane trip and wanted to buy the 7th season of bones. I bought the the first episode and found out that you can't use media hub without wifi. Is there a way to watch without wifi i haven't discovered? Or do you know where i can get it on a memory card on a computer and transfer it to my tablet?

Also. Know any blutooth keyboards compatible with this tablet?

Thanks!

I'm assuming a basic level of technical know-how. I'll explain the basics, but I'm not going to write a book.

Just buy a micro SD card. Plug it into your computer. It mounts like any other thumb drive. Create a folder in it called Movies and copy all your videos there. You can create subfolders.

Then mount the as card in your tablet and then play it. I do this all the time.

You may need two apps to get this to work right, depending on the file type. If the file is an mp4, it will automatically load and you can see it in the Gallery. If not, you might need some other type of player. Rock Player is a free app, and on ICS, it plays just about anything: AVI, MP4, FLV. Next comes the problem of not being about to see the file in the Gallery. For this you need another app. I use File Manager HD, or Astro. Either way, when the app loads, go to the parent folder and look for a folder called extSCard. There you will find your Movies folder.

I really like my galaxy tablet.

jLynn,

Hello. With Samsung Media Hub, you only need Wi-Fi to download the TV episodes or movies to your Galaxy tablet, which just takes a few minutes. Once that's completed, the content is stored on your device so you can watch at any time without any data connection.

Also, if you have other compatible Samsung devices(e.g. Galaxy smartphone, Samsung Smart TV), you can watch what you purchase on those devices as well.

Sincerely,
Eric

Eric, I've been trying to figure this out for my Tab as well. I think part of the OP's question (and mine as well) is how do you move it from internal memory to an SD card. I doubt an entire season of a tv show would fit on the internal memory of a Galaxy Tab.

I used media hub to download movies for a long plane trip and could NOT access them without a data connection while in flight. Very frustrating. I've read posts where people have mentioned a white lock symbol. This symbol is no where to be found!!! I have a Galaxy Tab 2.

It is probably due to DRM.

The Wi-Fi connection is so the tablet can check Samsung's servers for proper license of the media. It should do this every time the media is played.

I am sure it is spelled out in their terms of service.
