I am new to the forums here, but I have been using an Android smart phone for about a year and a half now, and I want to grow my knowledge in the area of programming and customizing. I have read a few posts on the board before, and there seems to be a rich wealth of information that I hope to absorb. I current have an LG Optimus V and I am working toward putting ICS on it. I was able to get my OV rooted and the necessary apps downloaded to the phone. I am a little curious about all the abbreviations that I see. I am reading through trying to make everything work. I don't understand how common the issues are, though. I read that there are some issues with ICS, but I am concerned about not having the camcorder app work and the microphone volume. Also, is it safer to go straight to Jelly Bean? Anyhow, thank you all for responding. I have a lot to learn and I can't wait to learn more.
