Hi there!
I've been using Windows Phone since WP7 came out until a week ago when I exchanged my HTC 8X for a Lumia 920 that had light bleeding/leaking and severe battery problems. My carrier opened two other 920s but they had the same issue.
As my mom's was visiting me and she was up for renewal, I thought of giving her my 8X, which is a great phone IMHO, and I could bought and Android device to use until the next gen of WP 8.1 phones come out.
Long story short, she agreed, gave the money she would spent and I put more on my own and bought the HTC One after deciding between it and the S4. The phone is awesome and it's been only three days since it arrived but I have had zero problems with it. I already installed and configured everything over this weekend and its ready for every day use this week.
I think WP has more advantages from a usability standpoint that Android, but I also think that Android has some great strengths on its own, like more customizations and advanced tools WP doesn't have. Apps that exist on both platforms tend to be more well design and more well-thought that their Android counterparts, but in the end it's just matter of taste.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself and how I got to my first Android phone. I've used the Kidle Fire when it launched and flash it stock/vanilla ROMs. I sold it and bought the Nexus 7 and I've been using it since it launched.
I will try to come here often and read/comment all I can. Just as I do over at WPCentral.
I hope you had a great weekend!
