Hello from a Droid 2 owner (with a serious smartphone obsession!)

I'm new to the forum, so I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I currently own a Motorola Droid 2 and have been mostly happy with it since 12/10/10, the day I bought it. However, having one of these pocket computers (which is what pretty much all smartphones are) sure has gotten me very interested in other such devices, even though I'm not a tech-savvy person. (I AM an information-oriented person though, which helps explain my fascination with devices that can give you information you desire at your fingertips at any time - well, as long as the battery has juice.) I guess you could say I have a serious smartphone fetish!

I realize this is introduction forum, and for that this site is an Android forum, so maybe the following question is best asked elsewhere. I was wondering if it anybody thinks it makes any sense to get a second (or even third) smartphone in service concurrently with an existing smartphone. I'm really curious to test out devices on other operating systems to see how they compare, positively or negatively, to the Droid 2. Even if I bought another smartphone, I'd still view the Droid 2 as my primary device, mainly because of the physical keyboard. The smartphones I'm looking at most seriously include the following (in order of interest, though my interest is roughly equal for all of them):

*HTC Trophy (Windows phone)
*Blackberry Bold 9930
*iPhone 4

As you can tell, I'm a Verizon Wireless subscriber and am focusing on Verizon for additional devices too. I wish there were other Windows phone devices on Verizon besides the HTC Trophy, not because the Trophy looks like a bad device but because I'd want more choices. There's an outside chance I'd also shoot for a second Android device if I bought a second smartphone, and if I went that route, I'd definitely buy a 4G LTE phone, either a premium model (Droid Bionic or upcoming Nexus Prime) or a cheaper but still solid model (Pantech Breakout looks very solid IMO; I've also read about that QWERTY keyboard Samsung 4G LTE phone that's coming out in the next week). Any feedback would be appreciated.

I'll probably primarily read rather than post on the forum, but I'll probably post from time to time.
