Hello from an Android newbie

Since last week I'm the proud owner of an HTC Incredible S.
In spite of the fact that I have a long career in computer sytems behind me, (since 1973) this is my first acquaintance with Android.
So googling to find more information I discovered androidcentral and this gave me the feeling it's the place to find what I'm looking for. So here I am, a Dutch pensionary.
