General steps are: Gain root access, install custom recovery (these might be flipped around), make a backup through recovery, use the custom recovery to install the ROM.

The real questions are: Is there a recovery for your EXACT device, and is there a ROM for your EXACT device? Close is not good enough. If you install a custom recovery on a device that it isn't made for you could possibly brick it.

I would suggest getting a cheap/older Samsung device and practice with that. The last thing you want to do is brick you daily driver.

Ironass or XDA forums probably be your best bet , I like to add that learning how to go back to stock firmware is extremely just as important in case things don't work out and you get stuck.

If you intend to install an official Chinese Vivo ROM/firmware (P2337), then there is no problem.

However, if you wish to install the Global, (P2337F), or a custom ROM you will need to unlock the bootloader and root your phone first, ("There is no method to root vivo Phone"). See, "Can I root my phone?"...
