Just got my Thunderbolt yesterday, and I'm loving it.
I went from flip-phones (paired with a Pocket PC, LOL) to the original BlackBerry Storm to the Storm 2. I thought my Storm 2 was decent, and I wasn't sure about switching. What clinched it was the OS 7 talk and how RIM will pretty much screw the Torch owners the same way they screwed the Storm 2 owners (IMO). I figured I'd give HTC and Android a try. Though the pace of the business (with both the handset manufacturers and OS) is definitely faster than RIM's, I have yet to hear the same sorts of complaints.
So far, I'm glad I switched. The Thunderbolt blows my Storm 2 out of the water. /cliche. It's so freakin' fast, and it can do so much--and it doesn't b!tch at me with the stupid spinning clock! Battery life does suck, but I have an extended battery on the way, so I'll see how that goes. I thought I'd miss the Storm 2's Surepress, but so far I don't. Right now the only things I miss are SocialScope and having all my email and sms messages in one folder.
Now I'm rambling. I think my phone's amphetamined-like performance is rubbing off on me.
