I have been lurking at the Pre Central site for a while. I need a new phone right now. I discovered that phones don't swim when I put my Pre minus thru the front loader. I can no longer wait to see if Sprint will carry the Pre 3. I am looking for a new phone and came here to research Androids. I am trying to decide between the Evo 3D and the Photon.

Hello and welcome. The good news is you have choices. I myself have the 3 d and have not put it down since I got it over a month ago. I previously had a evo4 g and before that, like you I was a pre owner. Everyone will have an opinion but best thing you can do is go to the sprint store and try them both out. You can even purchase one, take it back and try the other. The evo3 d rocks.

I plan to hit the Sprint store tomorrow morning. I called today and they have both phones in stock for me to look at. I will try them both out and make a decision. I reactivated my old Katana and it is really hard to downgrade after getting spoiled with a smart phone.

Thanks for the offer, but I don't want to get a phone that is no longer supported and will never be updated. The Pre minus is a dead end as far as I am concerned.
