its been about 6 month now, i got a Galaxy tab 7" from sprint. i love it! and i havent done anything crazy to it. but i think i'm ready to spruce it up. want to learn how to root this bad boy. well talk to you all soon.

There's not much you can do to it besides rooting. There really hasn't been any devolpment for the Sprint version in regards of ROMs, Kernels, Modifications.

It is however very simple to root it.. all you need is an app called Z4root... which is a one click root method.
Here's the download link for the Z4root app: Download starting... - Softpedia
Its self explanatory... open the app on your tablet with "Astro File Manager (available in the market)" and follow the directions. There will be two options....you want to select "permanent root".
