Ok I can admit it...I'm no longer an Android virgin! I finally got up the nerve to root my phone today and on the second try it worked. I was able to install Titanium backup and have made a backup of my device (at least I think so).

So here is my question...how do I get to the "bloat ware" files to rename them and then move them to my SD card (or is it best to just rename and leave them there)? Is there an app I can use on my PC to see the files and rename from there? I'm going to follow Cory's thread on renaming files in the Roots and ROM section, I just need to know how to get to them.

Thanks for the advice.

I installed an app called Root Explorer. I multi-selected the apps I wanted moved (in the /system/app folder), and moved them to my SD card. That's all there is to it.

Or, there is a script in that thread you are talking about. You can connected your phone to your computer, and run that script. But check out root explorer first.

Also, Titanium allows you to "freeze" an app. So look into that too.
