help~! android tablet newbie here.....

hi, I picked up the new nexus 7 this week and am looking for any tips, tricks, or suggestions to help me enjoy my new toy. I have a 3 yr. old ipod touch and a 2 yr. old nook color, but this is my first android tablet. I will probably use it mainly to surf the web, check email, etc. There are probably fun things this tablet can do that I'm not even aware of so don't be afraid to share things you think I should already know.

I have been searching for ways to improve the battery life. I've disabled Currents, turned off location access, and set the screen timeout to 30 seconds and turned off auto brightness. I'm still not sure what all the battery usage details mean. The battery life thing is my only concern at this time.

Also, I can't TAKE it anywhere {or even outside}, because I can't find a case for it. Has anybody found one?

I am using the case from my old Nexus 7. It is a bit loose since the new unit is thinner, but sort of works.
