help! another problem - auto screen off

besides having random restarts which i haven't been able to fix, i've encountered another problem. sometimes my phone just won't want to turn the screen off automatically. i noticed this a few days ago and i've tested since. usually my screen sleeps after 30 sec of inactivity. when my screen refuses to turn off automatically, i timed it to see if it was significantly longer. yes, 15 mins go by and it is still on. sure it dims itself like it's going to turn off, but it doesn't. i'd have to shut it down and power back up is the only way i know how to deal with glitches. what could cause this? thanks.

there may be an app keeping it awake somehow. only suggestion is to delete apps you dont use much, or you can get away without using it and see if that helps...if not, factory reset.

a rogue app may also be the cause of your reboots.

but you can always unlock and root and flash a ROM...i dont have any random reboots and my screen times out just fine.

Is it plugged in during that time?
There is a stay awake setting under developer options that will keep the screen on when plugged in.

nope not plugged in and that option isn't on.

I had this problem. There is another thread here that explains it . It has something to do with the çamera. I turned the camera on then off and the screen is fine now. Hope it helps. Love this phone glad I didn't get the razr like Verizon people tried to sell me.
