So I've been in the habit of backing up my Samsung Note about every six months, simply by connecting it to my desktop and just dragging and dropping all the folders. I've know this is better than nothing, but far from ideal (especially if something important gets lost between manual backups).
I don't want to buy external software or even some of these hardware docks I've seen (that you set your phone down into overnight and it backups things up each day).
From what I've read, Google can sync most of your apps settings, files and other important stuff and back it up to a server on a daily basis. However, I'm not 100% how to ensure all the important files on my phone are getting backed up each day and how to pull them later if I need to.
For instance, I use Wunderlist and have some pretty important To-Do stuff I wrote up today. I'll be working on that list for a while, and if I lost it, it would ruin my work-flow by losing those vital notes. How do I protect stuff like this and other files on my phone day-to-day (by using just what's already on my phone). Or should I consider a 3rd party alternative? Any help is much appreciated!
