Me and my friend switched phone batteries today and it was fine until he told me that the phone would not charge. He has the Epic 4G and I have the Verizon Fascinate. They both (the batteries) have the same serial numbers and tags except the color on the Fascinates is blue and his is red. They both fit and mine works fine (as of right now). I heard there were problems with the Epic (4G?) relating to this and he let that battery die.

Also any master persuaders please give me tips to give him on how to trick Sprint if necessary

What's the problem? I'm not sure I see the problem stated clearly.

Did something happen or are both phones working as they should?

I've never heard of such a thing as issues using a battery that obviously fits and connects correctly.

I am not aware of any issues switching out batteries. One should work in the other. Why did you switch batteries in the first place?

My phone is working fine but my friends won't turn on and won't even show the boot loader. He reset battery stats as well. It still might be the common problem with the epics

Thanks for the help and cool the guy who first responded with CM9. I love it on my tablet and phone.

Resetting battery stats will do nothing except allow the calibration of the battery percentage for the OS. So... you have two phones, and between them, one good battery. (I will assume that the "not turning on or even showing the bootloader follows the bad battery). It was mentioned "trick sprint", but that's irrelevant, the warranty does not cover the battery. If you've got a bad battery, just pick up a new one. I got a 3500mah from newegg.com for like $8 and can't be happier with it (heavy usage, navigation, music, and never hit the 15% warning before 18hrs). The E4GT 1800mah battery will also work in the Epic (and I would assume the fascinate also).

What common problem with the Epics are you talking about????

If my assumptions are wrong, Please explain clearly what the problem is...
