Help Battery pull initiated factory reset

I dont know what happend to my phone. I was in an application and it froze. I was unable to get the phone to respond so I had to pull the battery. When I put the batter back in the phone rebooted and it appeared to have done a hard reset!!! I am so upset! It doesn't seem to be syncing any of my apps from the SD card. I downloaded astro file manager and it appears they are still there. However, when i go to manage apps it seems nothing is on the SD card. Can someone please help!!

First thing is first. Did it or did it not do a factory reset?
If your seeing icons on your screen for the apps, and the icons have the android logo, and the apps are on the SD card, this is a bug thats been around since day 1. taping on the app should still launch the program.
half of my games are like this, but they all still work.

Also when you say it doesnt seem to be syncing be more specific.
Are you able to tap an icon and launch an app? if not are the apps in the all apps section of your phone. maybe the short cuts or widgets on the main screens have been broken.
