Welcome to Android Central! That's the old Microsoft Zune interface.. You can try ZPlayer, but it isn't free.

thanks so much for the replay, too bad i gotta pay for it. can you recommend any other players with a simple ui like that?

Noozy is similar to Zune as well, but for unclear reasons, it was pulled from Google Play. There is some suspicion that Microsoft asked Google to pull it.
